It is Saturday night, March 14, 2015. A crazy week is over. The ‘highlight’ was the mess with my Business Visa which hadn’t been processed on time due to massive problems with the Outsourcing Provider of the Indian Consulate in Munich. We had to escalate my case and to address the Consult directly (sometimes it helps when you work for a global Company with 4000+ employees in India…). On Wednesday, March 11 I thought that I need to postpone my flight by 3 days - with would have had the consequence of cancelling the trip to Nepal entirely. What a sad moment… But thanks to proper ‘escalation management’ and the support of our visa agency my passport with the visa arrived this morning (just on time indeed…)
Now everything is packed up and tomorrow morning it’s time to say goodbye to Adri, Giovanca and Valeria (she’s just 5 months old and sooo cute). Not an easy situation. Thank god Giovanca is here to support Adri.
On the other hand - now I am really looking forward to Nepal and India. Over the last weeks I simply hadn’t time to realize how close this trip was. Now one of the biggest adventures of my life is becoming reality.
Yesterday we were invited to the fantastic “Starkbierfest” of Julia and Volker - and of course we were wearing Dirndl and Lederhosn :-). We took Valeria with us and had a lot of fun. See pictures attached…
